This month, I’m fangirling over Lizzo, The Bold Type, composting, and the tastiest item from Trader Joe’s.
Cuz I Love You by Lizzo
Along with pretty much everyone else, I’ve spent the past few weeks listening to this album on a loop. With upbeat tracks and fun featured artists, this is the perfect soundtrack for the season. Whether I need a midday mood boost or something to dance to on my commute, I can count on Lizzo’s vocals to save the day.
The Bold Type
Why aren’t more people talking about this Freeform dramedy? The show follows three badass young women navigating their workplace—a Cosmopolitan-esque publication called Scarlet Magazine. Plenty of romance, parties, questionable fashion choices, and relevant social issues make the show a modern-day Sex & the City with a little more depth—and I can't get enough.
Trader Joe's Peanut Butter Cups
Look, I know I’m late to the game on this one, but I misguidedly assumed these tiny bits of heaven were over-hyped. These treats are as good as everyone says and they are truly getting me through life. Try them in milk or dark chocolate form—either way, they won't disappoint.
Apple Rabbit Compost
Last month, I celebrated Earth Day by setting out a bin filled with coffee grounds, lemon peels, and used paper towels. I recently set out on a quest to learn how to compost. Thankfully, I discovered Apple Rabbit Compost, a service in my area of town that provides a compost bin and bag and comes by (on a bike!) weekly to pick up your food scraps and leave a clean bin for the week. At $25 a month, this service is affordable, convenient, and a great way to dip your toe into the compost.
